One of Sweden’s fastest growing SMEs, 4C Strategies, which provides management consultancy and software solutions in risk and crisis management, is continuing to develop its operations. The company has recruited Magnus Bergqvist from IT giant SAP as the new CEO and Englishman David Lidbetter, former Regional President of security firm G4S, as a new board member. Meanwhile, 4C Strategies reported an impressive 54 percent increase in sales and an operating profit of 11 percent for 2010/11.
The ability to manage risks and crisis situations is becoming increasingly essential for companies and organisations operating in a global environment characterised by financial turmoil, threats of terrorism, natural disasters and adverse weather conditions. If a major incident occurs, the consequences can be devastating.
4C Strategies provide consultancy services and in-house software solutions for improved risk and crisis management. Demand for the company’s products and services has soared over the past few years, particularly from international clients, one of the reasons which led the company to establish their London office earlier this year. The company already has a large UK client base, which includes the British Armed Forces and British Telecom (BT).
The appointment of Magnus Bergqvist, former head of SAP’s Field Services in the Nordic and Baltic region, is an important part of the company’s global expansion strategy. He will be taking on operational responsibility for 4C Strategies, whilst the current CEO and founder, Andreas Hedskog, assumes the role of Executive Chairman.
”We are delighted to welcome Magnus Bergqvist to 4C Strategies. He has a solid background within the IT industry and broad experience of leading work in an international setting. We will benefit hugely from his expertise in our continued efforts to establish ourselves as a global supplier of risk and crisis management solutions,” says Andreas Hedskog.
Magnus Bergqvist will take on the role of CEO immediately and joins 4C Strategies as the company presents its annual accounts with an impressive 54 percent increase in sales, to SEK 62 million for 2010/11, and a profit of 11 percent, all the while undertaking major investments in software development and the establishment of their London office.
”4C Strategies will continue to grow and fuel developments within risk and crisis management to meet the needs of both small and large organisations. This involves anything from developing international standards, to offering the latest methods within the field to bring about permanent performance improvements among our clients,” says Magnus Bergqvist.
In addition to the recruitment of Magnus Bergqvist, 4C Strategies is also strengthening its board via the appointment of David Lidbetter, former Regional President (Northern and Western Europe) of the world’s largest security firm, G4S.
”David Lidbetter has a vast network of contacts in Europe and other parts of the world, as well as an in-depth knowledge of our line of business. It is an extremely significant and strategic recruitment to our board and for our continued development,” says Andreas Hedskog.
