Stockholm – Säkerhetsföretaget Check Point® Software Technologies har lanserat Anti-Bot Software Blade, en helt ny typ av skydd mot botprogram och riktade attacker, så kallade Advance Persistent Threats (APT:s). Den nya lösningen hjälper företag att snabbare upptäcka bot-attacker och direkt förebygga skadorna de kan orsaka, genom att blockera kommunikationen mellan infekterade värdar och de som fjärrstyr den angripna datorn. Det nya mjukvarubladet integreras i varje gateway, vilket ger flera lager av förebyggande skydd mot skadlig kod med en hög prestanda på över 40 Gbps – för att säkra affärskommunikationen i alla kanaler.
Så kallade bots och botnät är skadlig programvara som gör att cyberbrottslingar kan ta över datorer och utföra olagliga aktiviteter som att stjäla data eller skicka skräppost via angripna datorer. De är fjärrstyrda, oftast maskerade och opererar utan att användaren märker något. Även om det har förekommit flera uppmärksammade botnät, som Zeus och Mariposa, är de flesta attacker svåra att identifiera och kan sprida sig utan att någon inom den utsatta organisationen märker det.
– Tusentals företag har redan fallit offer för den här typen av riktade men dolda attacker vilket kan bli mycket kostsamt för de drabbade som samtidigt har ett ansvar att inte sprida botprogram vidare. Check Point Anti-Bot Software Blade är utformat för att direkt förhindra bot-attacker med hjälp av en ny unik teknik för att upptäcka den här typen av hot. Funktionen analyserar trafiken på varje gateway, identifierar miljontals olika typer av utbrott och kan därför upptäcka botprogram genom att korrelera flera riskfaktorer – som till exempel vilket mönster ett botnät har och på vilket sätt attacken utförs.
Lösningen integreras även på ett helt nyskapande sätt med befintliga skydd, som Intrångsskydd, Antivirus & Anti-Spam och URL-Filtering, samtidigt som säkerhetsadministratörerna förses med den information de behöver för att analysera och åtgärda säkerheten efter en attack.

New Anti-Bot Software Blade stops bot attacks on every gateway using advanced discovery technology
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd.
