Icomera extends its innovative transport applications router product family

London, England (June 9th 2011) - Icomera, the world’s leading provider of open Internet connectivity and application platforms for passenger transport and public safety, today announces a new addition to its series of mobile access and applications routers. Following on from last September’s launch of the revolutionary Icomera X6, the Icomera X4 offers a scaled-down applications platform for Metro Rail, Freight Rail and Road transport customers. Alongside the Icomera X4 launch, Icomera is refreshing the Icomera X6 and both products will now be IP67 rated.

Icomera X6 and the Icomera X4 are based on the same hardware and software platform, allowing Icomera’s application partners to write applications that will automatically be deployable on both platforms whether these are installed on a high speed train or a bus.
