NEC releases EXPRESSCLUSTER X 3.1 featuring SAP-certified integration with SAP NetWeaver

Tokyo & London, October 3, 2012 – NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) has released a Linux version of EXPRESSCLUSTER X 3.1, a high-availability software that supports the SAP NetWeaver technology platform.

The Linux version of EXPRESSCLUSTER X 3.1 for SAP NetWeaver is now available throughout the world and provides the functions required for clustering in SAP NetWeaver. The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified EXPRESSCLUSTER X 3.1 via the SAP NetWeaver High-Availability Cluster 730 (NW-HA-CLU 730) integration scenario for the Linux x86_64 platform. The software can also be maintained for as long as 10 years, enabling essential systems to be reliably operated for extended periods of time.

In 2011, EXPRESSCLUSTER took the number one position for the third consecutive year in the Asia Pacific region, including Japan, in terms of monetary value in the HA cluster software market with an approximate 23% share (*).
