Mobispine, the world leader in Desktop Messaging, announced the forthcoming launch of an Operator brandable iPad application for SMS and MMS messaging.

The iPad, which lacks both SMS and MMS messaging today, is being enabled by Mobispine with a complete touch based messaging composer.

"Our Desktop Messaging applications already make it easier, faster and more useful to communicate with SMS from a laptop than it is on a mobile handset – and now we bring the same capability to the iPad. The app allows users to send messages from the same number as their mobile handset, which brings the whole messaging experience together and keeps conversations flowing across devices" said Joakim Hilj, CEO at Mobispine.

The application includes the ability to read the iPad contacts, send long messages with concatenated SMS, see a message history and delivery status, access images from a user’s image gallery to compose an MMS and record audio to add to an MMS.
