Mentice, the world leader in medical cardiovascular and endovascular simulation, today announced the official release of a full hand of innovative training modules for its line of VIST® medical simulators. The five modules make it possible to safely and effectively practice the steps and techniques of the following procedures, using real clinical devices, and without the risks associated with training in a patient care environment:

All of these training modules are developed in close collaboration with leading medical experts and device industry partners, and will be offered to hospitals and industry for the purpose of training health care professionals, as well as developing and implementing new treatment and quality programs within hospitals.
”It is really with great pleasure that we now expand on our already impressive range of the market’s most advanced endovascular training solutions, with a comprehensive portfolio of over 20 supported procedures in the fields of interventional cardiology, radiology and vascular surgery”, says Göran Malmberg, CEO of Mentice. ”Especially we are proud to once again demonstrate our leading position by being first-to-market with training for such an exciting novel procedure as renal denervation, which potentially holds the key to lower blood pressure for the many millions of people worldwide suffering from treatment-resistant hypertension.”
As part of these releases, Mentice also continues to add the game-changing VIST® Case-It technology to more and more training modules, allowing users to import patient specific anatomies from their own medical practice and adapt the simulated cases to fit specific training needs.
Mentice will be showcasing most of these new products and the VIST® Case-It technology at the SCAI Scientific Sessions in Orlando, Florida from May 8-11, the ESVB Symposium in Strasbourg, France from May 10-11 and at the EuroPCR congress in Paris, France from May 21-24.
