The results from a beta user survey for the new TV operator Magine shows that more than 40% of users watch significantly more TV than before, by using the Magine cloud-based TV service in iPads, iPhones, TV-sets and personal computers.
The new Swedish internet-based TV operator Magine started beta tests for their new cloud-based TV service during September.
2,000 users have tested the service and daily use of the service has been astonishingly high, only by giving easy-access to TV channels, offering live, time-shifting and catch-up in the same user interface. 80% of the viewers also say that Magine has changed the way they watch TV by enabling them to watch TV in new places.
”This is really good news for all TV channels that will be in our service", says Magine’s Chairman Michael Werner. "In the fragmented media world of today where TV channels compete with VOD-services, YouTube and movie downloads, they need a service that makes it easier to watch their TV content in a new compelling way, whenever and wherever the viewer wants. I think our beta tests confirm that Magine could be this service", continues Mr. Werner.
