Crunchfish AB, the company that develops cloud based mobile solutions for iPhone, IPAD and Android has released a new free application, Hearway Plus, for the Android platform.

Hearway plus is similar to Hearway but with the difference that the Plus version contains audio based points of interests (POI).

You will access more than 600.000 points of interest in New York, U.K, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and Italy.

Now one can choose a category concerning points of interest and have them played in audio format. The information related to what kind of point of interest Hearway has found and the distance and direction it has relative to the user is given regularly.

Another nice feature is that if you did not perceive the text to speech information you can either shake the phone or tap on it in order to replay the last played audio file.

– ”This is a big step in the interactive direction that we want move into”, says Paul Cronholm CEO of the company Crunchfish.

– ”Our goal is to implement a very simple service that makes it possible to obtain information via the headphones and at the same time free the hands of the user.”

– Our TTM roadmap contains very interesting features that will be standard in the future. Right now they appear a bit like sci-fi but slowly but surely, everything will be interconnected and simplify everyday life of a consumer.”

Hearway plus supports languages such as English, German, Italian, Korean and Swedish.

Hearway plus can be downloaded on Android Market to all existing Android phones with version 1.6 and above. Simply open the icon "market" on your Android phone and search for "Hearway Plus”, install it and enjoy.
