The BIMobject® APP that was successfully launched for Revit earlier this year is now being released for AutoCAD as well. It was introduced for Revit at the end of April 2012 as the world’s first fully integrated BIM object solution inside a BIM software. 

The BIMobject® APP is now available for AutoCAD as well, and the APP will be free of charge. 

The integration creates a BIMobject® catalogue of all content from the BIMobject® portal. Newly added content is visible immediately from within the AutoCAD application.

The BIMobject® AutoCAD add-in allows AutoCAD users to easily access and download AutoCAD DWG files directly from the BIMobject® portal making manufacturer specific content available immediately in the design process.

The BIMobject® APP for Autodesk AutoCAD will be available in the coming weeks on the Autodesk exchange store and the official launch coincides with the opening in Las Vegas for Autodesk University.
