Since the Swedish Government will launch a national innovation strategy later this fall, TEDxStockholm will initiate a broader discussion about innovation, independent of any political agenda. We want to explore what role innovation can play in Sweden, today and in the future, and how we can nurture innovation with a holistic and open mindset.

At TEDxStockholm, local as well as international speakers from different areas will talk about innovation as seen from their perspective:

Catarina Mota  - (TEDFellow and speaker at TEDGlobal)
Alicia Gibb – The death of patents – and what comes after
Waldemar Ingdahl – The societal implications of exponential technology

Jannie Jeppesen – Designing schools and learning processes to facilitate creativity and collaborative learning.
Mark Smith – Bringing the "hacker" ethic to universities by creating an entirely new curriculum for doctorates based on interdisciplinary collaboration and applied learning.
Emma Rose Metcalfe – HowDo – a new way of sharing how we do stuff in the real world

Soki Choi – The human factor – Reform without change. The need for a reform of the health sector and the reasons why it’s so hard to implement
Erik Kruse – The networked society, connectivity and the rising billion. In 5 years time we predict billions more to come online. What will this mean for innovation and the progress of civilization?
Folke Tersman – Beyond democracy. From regional tribes, to the nation state, to an international governance. What’s desirable and what’s viable?

The event has a limited number of seats, but is open for anyone to apply at www.tedxstockholm.com
