Payair – SIBAs Christmas gift to on-line shoppers

Share

Stockholm 5 December, 2011 – This year it will be more convenient than ever to buy and pay your Christmas gifts at SIBA. No more crowds and long lines to get to the cashiers, instead express check-out and unlimited opening hours will be a reality for those who choose to buy their consumer electronics on-line. SIBA is now launching the possibility for its customers to  pay by using their mobile with the Payair application.

At home in peace and quiet, in front of your lap top you literally have the complete SIBA supply in your hands. Next to each item there is a unique QR- code. By scanning this with the Payair application in your mobile the item is automatically added to your shopping cart. Having done this you select ”buy”, enter your PIN-code and confirm shipping information.
All information is submitted automatically from Payair to the shipping department of SIBA. For most consumers, it is not only convenient not having to search for your wallet or trying to read long 16-digit account numbers. It also provides an extra sense of security not having to expose card information on the Internet

”In general we expect good business this Christmas, but above all we believe the on-line shopping will continue to grow very strong. For most people shopping on-line is about convenience and saving time. For SIBA it is critical to meet these expectations and to offer best possible service to our customers. With Payair our customers are offered a new alternative to pay while shopping on-line which is fast, easy and secure.” Says Isabel
Bengtsson, head of E-commerce, SIBA

The customer only needs to download the Payair application which is free and register one or several bank cards with their Payair account. The card then becomes accessible in a digital format with your mobile instead of having it in your wallet. All of the card information is
stored on secure servers and the communication between the mobile and the server is encrypted.

”The Payair service allows consumers to shop directly from the advertising. By applying QR-codes in print ads, direct mail, sales promotion, etc the advertising becomes an off-line source of new business. Swedish companies invest billions of SEK in printed media and sales material which we know has a long life span. With QR-codes these become active and measurable points of sale.” – Says Staffan Ljung, CEO Payair.
