London and Tokyo, October 3, 2012 – NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE:6701) will showcase a wide range of security solutions, including biometric and high speed analysis technologies, at Milopol Qatar 2012 in Doha, Qatar from 8-10 October 2012.

NEC will exhibit a security portfolio at stand #A-037 of the Doha Exhibition Centre that includes its Behavior Analyser, License Plate Analyser, Intelligent Meta-Surveillance Analysis System, High Sensitivity Camera, Harbor Monitoring System, Facial Recognition Technology, Hybrid Finger Scanner and Display Solutions.

With strong support from the Qatar government, Milipol is one of the region’s best known security events. In recent years, there has been growing demand for public safety solutions in line with urban centralisation, complexity and sophistication of criminal activity.

”As globalisation increases international activity among people throughout the world, NEC’s identification solutions become more important to transportation centers such as airports and train stations,” said Noboru Takahashi, General Manager of NEC Saudi Arabia Ltd. ”NEC is now leveraging smart city development in order to integrate IT and Network technologies with security systems and devices. Our end-to-end solutions will enable the government and public sectors to create safer and more secure communities all over the world.”
