Upplands Väsby, Sweden, May 29, 2013 – EIZO Nordic AB announced the release of the DuraVision FDF2303W, a 23-inch full HD monitor for security and surveillance, equipped with HDMI inputs and EIZO’s Smart Insight technology for enhancing visibility in dark areas.

The DuraVision FDF2303W offers superb image quality for surveillance applications where moving pictures need to be displayed clearly and sharply for precise observation. The monitor is equipped with DVI-D 24 pin and D-Sub mini 15 pin inputs for digital and analog signal support respectively. It also has two HDMI inputs which support both PC and AV signals and can be connected to video cameras, recorders, and other AV devices.

The monitor comes with a non-glare IPS panel with a wide viewing angle of 178° that exhibits minimal color shift, making the screen easier to view from a variety of positions. Its 1920 x 1080 full HD native resolution allows the monitor the display images taken with a full HD camera in high detail.

The DuraVision FDF2303W uses a mercury-free LED backlight that has minimal impact on the environment when disposed of and consumes less power than CCFL backlights. The monitor consumes 22 W at a brightness of 120 cd/m² and less than 0.4W in power save mode. The LED backlight has a wide dimming range that is adjustable to as low as 3 cd/m². This makes it more comfortable to use the monitor in dark environments.

The DuraVision FDF2303W is equipped with EIZO’s Smart Insight technology, which automatically detects areas of the screen that are too dark and adjusts the brightness of each pixel. This reproduces highly visible images by brightening dark areas and keeping light areas from becoming washed out. In addition, the monitor also comes with EIZO-patented super-resolution technology, which analyzes the displayed content for noise and blur and sharpens the image.

Three preset modes are included in the monitor: sRGB, Day, and Night. Day and Night presets are optimized to match the Day and Night modes used in digital cameras. A compact remote control is included for switching between modes and adjusting other monitor settings.

The DuraVision FDF2303W also has an overdrive circuit that accelerates gray-to response time to just 7 ms, minimizing ghosting and blurring during high motion scenes.
