Nordic Edge launches Password Self Service – access management made easy

Share

Nordic Edge, an Intel subsidiary, introduces a new technology that automates the resetting of passwords -  saving both time and money while enhancing access security.

Forgotten passwords and locked accounts are time consuming for both the service desk and the users. According to the research company Gartner, each password-related call to the service desk costs about $22. With Nordic Edge Password Self Service, users can reset passwords themselves – allowing IT to focus on IT development to improve core business activities.

SAFE

The service desk typically identifies users by calling them to confirm the identity of the user requesting a new password. This method does not provide enough security to verify the user identity. With Nordic Edge Password Self Service, user identity is verified through a one-time password sent to a mobile phone, or through personal preset questions.

COST EFFICIENT

Users can reset a forgotten password and unlock their accounts via a web browser and a mobile device, all without service desk assistance. Implementation of Nordic Edge Password Self Service is straightforward and the need for training is minimal.

EASY TO INSTALL

Nordic Edge Password Self Service is a comprehensive access  administration solution. Yet, it can be installed and operational in approximately 10 minutes. The solution integrates into existing infrastructures and no extra investments are necessary. Clients can try the Password Self Service for 30 days.
